My Film Job

I think one of the best film jobs for me should be doing the storyboard or contributing as an editor. I'm not the type of person that likes to take full charge of things or boss people around, so that's why I would much rather help out. And I'm not too bad at drawing so I think it will be a job that I would do best. I also tend to have a good imagination when coming down to seeing things being drawn on paper. I like to draw on my free time as well so its something that will contribute and at the same time I will enjoy. Having me as a storyboard drawer would be a great idea because I am very reliable and will get my work done. I know that storyboards is a big part of making a film and my team is counting on me.

My Review of The Elephant Man

In my opinion, I think The Elephant Man was a really good movie. The movie had its sad moments, but there were also scenes that made you glad and happy for John Merrick.  For example, when John Merrick gets taken away from Bytes, he once again used John Merrick as a freak show to make some money, but John ends up collapsing and is later locked in a monkey cage. I think that was a very pitiful scene and it made me feel very sad for John Merrick and how he is so mistreated. But, when John Merrick is found again and back at the hospital, he receives a dressing kit, and he is so happy and thankful that it made me feel glad for him. There were some parts in the movie that I think were very slow and made me lose my attention, but overall I was intrigued by the movie.

My Name is John Merrick

Today, I was blessed. I was able to attend the theatre to watch Ms. Kendall's play. She very kindly, dedicated the whole show to me. I had never been able to live through such an amazing and honorable moment where everyone stood up, and applauded me. The faces of horror and fear I had caused so many times, were now smiling and looking at me with admiration. For once, I was not made a fool of. I was able to attend as a normal human being, not an animal, or a freak. This is all I ever wanted. I am fulfilled.

Welcome to My Nightmare

I, like many others, have quite a few fears. I fear spiders, cockroaches, basically most insects that look disgusting. And due to that fear, I have had nightmares before of being covered in never ending insects and I was so scared one time that I jumped off my bed and ended up sleeping on the floor trying to "escape" from the insects. I fear of being in the dark, with something or something else with me that I'm not aware of. I also kind of fear being alone in crowded places. I don't really FEAR it, but I hate it and feel extremely uncomfortable when I'm in that situation. But one of the main fears I have is being suffocated and locked in a very small space, with no way out.

Future

I'm not one to say what's going to happen to the planet in the future, but I can predict. What I definitely know is that there will be way more advanced technology. Technology will most likely be used for anything and everything. I even recently heard of some sort of 3D printer type of machine that basically "prints" out and forms objects. I have NO idea of how that works but I wouldn't be surprised if in the near future, it were to start being sold. I think cars will no longer run on gas. The gas will be replaced by a much more natural liquid, or they will all be electrical. What I'm not sure about is if the world will be more peaceful and clean, or if it will be chaotic, dry, and ruined. Or maybe there will be no advanced future at all and a horrible disaster happens and humans die out.

The Time I Laughed Super Hard

There have been MANY times in my life where I had laughed incredibly hard at something. But, now that I have to think about the time I laughed most, I can't remember anything. There was this one time my mom told me a story from when her, her mom, sister, and nephew had first came to the United States from Cuba about 20 years ago. It's not funny when being written, but when my mom told it, it was really funny. She said that when they arrived at the US airport, the floors were extremely shiny. They had never seen such shiny and clean floors at Cuba, so they thought the floors were wet. And the whole time at the airport, they were trying to walk on the edges to avoid the "wet" floor.

My Review of Modern Times

In my opinion, I think "Modern Times" was a decent movie. At first, I didn't think it was going to be entertaining because there was no speaking and I wasn't used to that in movies. But, now I feel like the movie is much better silent, than with speaking. Charlie Chaplin did a good job at frustrating you in a comical way, with all the bad luck that he has in the movie. The movie was funny, but there may also been scenes where he tried a bit too hard to be funny. But "Modern Times" isn't all about comedy, it is also pretty symbolic in a way. Scenes where they get "eaten" by the machine kind of speak out and are trying to say something more.

My Thoughts on Bullying

I never understood why people find the need to bully others. Or why some people bully another so violently, that it sadly, even leads to suicide. I wonder what really goes through the heads of the bullies. What makes them want to harm another person verbally, emotionally, and or physically? If something about a person bothers you, leave them alone. Does that person really impact your life so much that you find the need to ruin theirs? I have never been bullied or found the need to bully a person. But, I have seen bullying being done before.

My Favorite Movie

I know of a few movies that I really liked, but if I had to pick one, it would be the whole Harry Potter movie series. I really liked the Harry Potter movies because they were very different and unique from what I have ever watched before. They also contain a lot of different genres throughout the movie like fantasy, action, mystery, thriller, adventure, and even a little bit of romance and comedy. I like how all the movies connect to each other and you get to see the characters grow older, become more skilled with their magic, and meet new people. These are movies that I can watch again and again and never  get tired of because of all the different adventures and problems that go on throughout the movie.
